Burlington suspends solo patrols after Dallas shootings

BURLINGTON, VT. >> The police chief in Burlington, Vermont, says in the wake of fatal sniper shootings of police in Dallas, his department is suspending solo officer patrols until the prospect of copycat attacks on other officers diminishes.

Chief Brandon del Pozo says Burlington police are "friends, neighbors and Vermonters."

He says double patrols are safer for officers.

He asks that people keep in their thoughts the families of all those killed and injured in recent days.
