Retreat’s Villeneuve recognized by ‘Social Work Today’
BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Retreat’s Michelle Villeneuve, LICSW, has been named by Social Work Today magazine as one of "10 Dedicated and Deserving Social Workers" for 2014. The announcement and accompanying article were published in the magazine’s January/February 2014 edition (vol.14 No. 1 p.14).
Villeneuve, who works at the Retreat’s Birches program, was nominated by her colleague Daniel Rodrigues, LICSW. With March being Social Work Month, the recognition could not have been more timely.
Villeneuve has been in the human services field for 25 years and has been a social worker for 21 years. She joined the Brattleboro Retreat in 2005.
"I am honored and humbled at the same time," said Villeneuve. "I would like to thank Danny (Rodrigues) for nominating me."
