Marketing workshop in Mount Snow Valley

WILMINGTON -- During the month of February, Vermont Department of Tourism & Marketing Commissioner Megan Smith, Deputy Commissioner Steve Cook, Communications Director Jen Butson, International and North American Sales Manager Christiane Skinner, and Cultural Heritage Tourism Coordinator, Catherine Brooks will be visiting eight locations throughout Vermont to co-present a two-hour marketing workshop titled "Your Vermont Tourism Team Roadshow: Maximize, Partner, Promote."

VDTM will be sharing what the State is doing to promote Vermont -- including a variety of new initiatives -- and how our region's businesses and non-profits can benefit from these efforts. They will also describe free VDTM marketing services. Participants will have the opportunity to get to know VDTM leadership and staff, and what they can do for them.

The Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a seminar at The Red Mill Inn on Feb. 4 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

New acupuncture and herbalist joins Newfane Wellness Center

NEWFANE -- Newfane Wellness Center recently welcomed Carol Anne Fitzgerald, licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist to join the team of alternative health practitioners.

Fitzgerald, originally from New York, moved to Williamsville just over a year ago and has been practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine at Brattleboro Holistic Health Center, where she can be found on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She most recently is broadening her practice to provide acupuncture closer to her home community in Newfane Monday, Wednesday, Friday and weekends by appointment.

As a community member and practitioner, her mission is to help her patients achieve optimal health and well-being through balancing body and mind, and offering information on how they can help themselves.

Fitzgerald is available for private consultations in her new office at 550 Route 30 in Newfane. She will also be offering Community Acupuncture at the Old School House in South Newfane, on Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
