Lisa Coneeny to take lead at realty firm

MANCHESTER -- Vermont Country Properties Sothebys International Realty recently announced the appointment of Lisa Coneeny as the new president and principal broker of the statewide real estate firm, with five offices in Vermont destination and resort areas.

As the managing broker of the Mt. Snow/Wilmington office for the past year, Coneeny brings to her new position a wealth of operational experience, technological expertise and a proven track record. Owners of the firm, Richard and Peggy Montague will continue to stay involved in operations and are looking forward to Coneeny's oversight of the multi-faceted marketing, sales, and professional development and compliance in the firm.

"As one of the strongest agencies in the state of Vermont, backed by our affiliation with Sothebys International Realty, our commitment to our sellers and buyers is to offer the most progressive services available delivered by a professional staff second to none. Appointing Coneeny will ensure our continued position as the pre-eminent luxury real estate firm in our service areas," stated Richard Montague.

Coneeny grew up in Washington, Penn., outside of Pittsburgh, and moved to New York City to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology. Upon graduating, she worked in the fashion world as a marketing assistant, specializing in special events, promotion, and advertising and as a promotion director for Smart Magazine. After nine years in New York, she joined the American Cancer Society as a director of special events, was promoted to executive director and eventually to a regional vice president. In that capacity, Coneeny directed overall operations, managed a $3 million annual giving campaign and supervised 17 full-time staff people in addition to recruiting, training, and motivating volunteers to achieve national organizational goals.
