CHESTER -- Inspired by the stars, astrophysics and science, three poets will present an evening of celestially-inspired poetry at Misty Valley Books, on the Green in Chester, on Sunday at 7 p.m.

Poets Kate Gleason, Becky Sakellariou, and Patrice Pinette will present their work. After the readings, the group will move outside, weather permitting, to view the heavens using telescopes of the Southern Vermont Astronomy Group.

Gleason is the author of a full-length collection of poetry and two chapbooks. Her work has appeared in Best American Poetry, and she is a Pushcart Prize nominee. A former editor of Peregrine Literary Journal, she teaches writing workshops and runs a literary editing and submitting service.

Pinette has been a featured poet in New Hampshire Poets Showcase and has been published in a number of literary journals and anthologies. She teaches creative writing at Antioch University New England.

Sakellariou was raised in New England and has lived her adult life in Greece. A Pushcart Anthology nominee, she has been published in a number of journals and in a full length book of poetry and chapbooks.

The evening is free. For more information, call 802-875-3400 or visit mvbooks@vermontel.net.
