Centre Congregational hosts First Congregational Church for final union service on Sunday

BRATTLEBORO -- Centre Congregational Church in downtown Brattleboro will host the monthly Moment for Peace during Gallery Walk Friday, Sept. 5, from 5:30 to 6 p.m. in the Parlor. Dede Cummings and Travis Hellstrom will share thoughts from the book they have recently edited "Questions for the Dalai Lama: Answers on Love, Success, Happiness and the Meaning of Life."

Centre Church congregants will join in worship for the final union service of the summer, at 10 a.m. this Sunday at First Congregational Church in West Brattleboro. A joint choir will meet for rehearsal at 8:45 a.m.

Rev. Sandy Daly assumes the position of interim minister (in the absence of the Rev. Carra McFadden) and will be officiating the first two weeks of every month and will be in the office on Wednesdays.

Rev. Daly and her husband, Rev. Roger Daly, are building a ministry of hospitality and retreats at Hallelujah Farm in Chesterfield, N.H.

Centre Church is located at 193 Main St., Brattleboro, and is a congregation of the United Church of Christ, is a Just Peace Church and is Open and Affirming.
