Keene World Harmony Chorus resumes Feb. 6

KEENE, N.H. -- The Keene World Harmony Chorus, a teen and adult community chorus for men and women led by Lynn Mahoney Rowan and Will Thomas Rowan, is offered on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m., starting on Feb. 6.

Participants learn to sing traditional songs from South Africa, Bulgaria, Caucasus Georgia, Quebec, Corsica, American folk and more; no previous experience or music-reading ability required. Rehearsals are held at the Keene Unitarian Church on Washington Street.

Lynn and Will Rowan are veteran workshop leaders with Northern Harmony and Renewal choruses, choral leaders for Village Harmony and Revels North, and members of the award-winning trio Windborne. They have traveled the world collecting songs.

The chorus meets for 12 weeks, from Feb. 6 to April 24, culminating in a concert (optional for participants) on May 1.
