BRATTLEBORO -- This Sunday’s worship service at First Baptist Church, 190 Main St. in the center of Brattleboro, begins at 10 a.m. and is planned completely by and for the children.

The children will be greeters as worshippers enter the sanctuary at the front and rear entrances. They will also usher at the time of the offering.

All children will receive gifts, plants, and certificates.

Many adults and teenagers are responsible for all aspects of the running of Sunday School which begins at 10:15 a.m. each week. Lynn Akey, Sunday School superintendent, and Jean Garrecht, Christian Education chairman, are assisted by Tim Sanborn, Sylvia Seitz and Lura Jane Bacon. Linda Holmes provides a light snack during the 45-minute session.

This Sunday’s special music will be provided by Pastor Suzanne Andrews on the guitar as children lead the congregation in "This Little Light of Mind" and "Jesus Loves Me."
