Christ’s Church in Saxtons River holds Advent Sunday and Christmas Eve services

Saturday December 22, 2012

SAXTONS RIVER -- This week Christ’s Church will mark the 4th Sunday in Advent by the lighting of the Candle of Love.

The Rev. Roger Daly will focus his sermon on Mary, mother of Jesus. Our church service begins at 10 a.m. and is followed by coffee and conversation.

Christ Church will be holding its annual Christmas Eve Service at 7 p.m.

This is a family service and a time to remember and celebrate "The Story" through readings and the singing of familiar Christmas carols. The Senior Choir and the Bell Choir will be presenting special music.

The Worship service will close with a sacred Candle Dance by the Rhythmic Choir and the lighting of the candles of the congregation.

This is a joyful and moving celebration of the light. The offering that will be taken is going to UCC Church World Service to aid Flood Relief for Victims of Hurricane Sandy.
