Brattleboro Camera Club

BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Camera Club will meet Monday, Nov. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Brattleboro Savings & Loan, 221 Main St., in Brattleboro (use rear entry).

The program will feature instructional photos with commentary from the New England Camera Club Council. The Council’s offerings are known for their helpful professionalism.

In addition, club members will bring prints for comments and review. There is no charge for this program and the public is welcome to attend.

Coin, Postcard and

Sports Card Collectors’ Club

BRATTLEBORO -- The Tri Town Coin, Postcard and Sports Card Collectors’ Club will hold a special scholarship fundraising committee meeting during its show and collector meetings on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Holiday Inn Express on Chickering Drive in Brattleboro.

Area collectors of all ages are invited to meet various hobbyist. The event, which will offer door prizes, begins at 8 a.m. with a club business meeting during the show’s start up session. After a family fun day of buying and selling collectibles, dealers will join the Tri Town Numismatic Society at 3:30 p.m. for its monthly meeting.

There is no admission charge and anyone looking to sell or trade their collectible items such as coins, comic books, sports/postcards and other interesting items may set up a card table by calling show chairman Joe Fuller at 802-297-1274 or e-mail

This collector’s expo will be followed by a Dec. 2 fundraising event in Charleston, N.H., and another show in Brattleboro on Dec. 15. In the past five years the group has participated in many charitable events in Southern Vermont, Keene, N.H., and western Massachusetts.

Coin and Currency Club

BRATTLEBORO -- The Tri-State Coin & Currency Club will meet Thursday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the Brattleboro Savings & Loan, 221 Main St. (use the rear door, ring the bell). The club meets the third Thursday of every month through December 2012. Meetings are free and open to the public.

Everyone interested in coins, currency, collectibles, etc., is encouraged to participate. Activities include: discussing the economy, investments, gold prices, buying, selling, trading collectibles, sharing knowledge and interesting stories, free opinions of value on collectibles.
