Brattleboro Area Lions Club

BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Area Lions Club meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. For details, contact Lion Jim Zoller at 802-579-6899.

Guilford Recreation Club

GUILFORD -- The annual Guilford Recreation Club meeting will be held on Monday, April 29, at 5:30 p.m. at the Rec Club cabin located at Whittemore Park, adjacent to the Guilford Fairgrounds.

Adobe User Group

BRATTLEBORO -- Two speakers from the Hartford Adobe User Group will talk at the Tuesday, May 6, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the New England Adobe User Group’s meeting at Marlboro Graduate Center, 28 Vernon St., on the second floor.

Scott Reynolds will demonstrate why Adobe Business Catalyst is the most underrated product in the Creative Cloud. Grace Solivann will be overviewing her process of custom theming for Wordpress.

The New England Adobe User Group presents workshops on Adobe Products, web development, photography, video, graphic design, social media and other web technologies. The group meet the first Tuesday of every month at the same time and location. All are welcome to attend.

Newfane Garden Club

NEWFANE -- The Newfane Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, May 1, at the Newfane Congregational Church from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Following the business meeting, members and guests will make spring flower arrangements for patients at Grace Cottage Hospital.

Those attending are asked to bring large vitamin bottles and fresh flowers for the arrangements. Hostesses are Lenore Salzbrunn and Maggie Bills. Guests are always welcome.

American Legion

BRATTLEBORO -- Sons of the American Legion Squadron #5 will hold a Polish Supper on Friday, May 2, at the American Legion Post #5 from 5 to 7 p.m. On the menu will be potato-leek soup, golumpki, kapusta, kielbasa, pierogi casserole, rye bread, and dessert. Chefs will be John and Ann Nebelski. The cost is $12 per person.

Dancing will follow from 7 to 10 p.m. to country rock music of Colt 45. Admission to the dance only will be $5.

The supper and dance are open to the public. Reservations are required, call 802-257-1872.
