AARP Brattleboro Chapter
BRATTLEBORO -- AARP Brattleboro Chapter No. 763 will meet at the Brattleboro Senior Center on Tuesday, March 18, at 1:30 p.m. (note the time change). Patti Smith of the Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center will speak to the group about the Center’s Environmental Summer Camp, and tell her fascinating story of adopting and raising seven abandoned infant opossums.
Smith writes "The View From Heifer Hill" column for the Brattleboro Reformer. Parking is available in the adjacent public lot. Parking at the Senior Center is limited. Guests are welcome.
Brattleboro Garden Club
BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Garden Club is sponsoring a presentation on Edible Landscaping with Anna Johansen on Monday, March 17, at 6 p.m. Johansen will speak about choosing plants for both beauty and nourishment in the home garden.
This meeting of the Brattleboro Floral Arts and Garden Club will take place at the Green Mountain Chapel on 480 Western Ave. in Brattleboro. The event is open to the public.
