Isenberg School

of Management

AMHERST, Mass. -- Monique Garafano of Brattleboro, Vt., a student at the Isenberg School of Management in Amherst, was inducted into the University of Massachusetts Amherst Chapter of The Golden Key International Honour Society in November 2012.

Ithaca College

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Jacob Huston of Brookline, Vt., was inducted into Ithaca College’s Oracle Honor Society in November. Huston is majoring in History in the college’s School of Humanities and Sciences.

Hamilton College

CLINTON, N.H. --Martin Cain, a Marlboro, Vt., resident and senior at Hamilton College, has been selected as one of two Senior Fellows.

Cain’s Senior Fellowship project is titled "The Poetic Art of Rural Decay: Reinterpreting the Pastoral with a Surreal Sense of Place." He is studying the gradual degradation of rural life in America as urbanization begins to take over the country side. He intends the project to culminate in a multimedia presentation with original film and poetry depicting the disappearing pastoral scene.

He is the son of Nancy and Thomas Cain and graduate of Brattleboro (Vt.) Union High School. Cain is a creative writing major.
