University of Vermont

BURLINGTON -- Sadie Holliday of Brattleboro is the recipient of The Dugan A. Foley Memorial Award for 2013 at the University of Vermont.

This award is given each year to an outstanding junior in Film and Television Studies. The award is in memory of a dearly loved UVM film student who died suddenly in her junior year in the summer of 1995.

Holliday, a 2010 graduate of Brattleboro Union High School, is the daughter of Barbara Holliday of Brattleboro.

Grinnell College

GRINNELL, Iowa -- Cory Brooke-deBock of Brattleboro, Vt., graduated from Grinnell College in December 2012. Brooke-deBock graduated with a major in Biological Chemistry.

Brooke-deBock is the child of Will W. Brooke-deBock and Carol L. Brooke-deBock of Brattleboro.

Rensselaer Polytechnic


TROY, N.Y. -- Aislynn Chalmers of Brattleboro, Vt., has been named to the dean’s list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the fall 2012 semester.

Johns Hopkins University

BALTIMORE -- Eleanor Lasch of South Newfane, Vt., was named to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2012 semester at the Johns Hopkins University. She is the daughter of Robert and Mikell Lasch and attended Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts.

Lasch, who is majoring in an arts and sciences pre-major, will graduate in May 2016.
