Colonel lacrosse teams dominate
BARRE -- Brattleboro’s Nik Rancourt, Greg Disilva and Conner Elliott-Knaggs each scored twice, and the Colonels boys lacrosse team beat Spaulding, 10-6, Saturday.
Jesse Brown, Galen Finnerty, Bryce Fletcher, and Sam Siegel tallied lone goals for the Colonels. Brattleboro was hindered by twelve penalties, committing over seven minutes worth in the second half.
Spaulding goalie Jay Pamasano made 20 saves for the Crimson Tide, while Brattleboro’s Romello Lindsey finished with seven.
The Colonels are back in action at home on Friday when they host Northampton at 7 p.m.

BRATTLEBORO -- Maddie Rollins buried seven goals and had one assist to lead the Colonels to a win Saturday afternoon.
Brattleboro had a 6-1 advantage at the break, scoring all of their goals in the first 10 minutes of play.
"It was a run n’ gun type of game," said BUHS coach Maud Lonergan.
Hannah Lynde put away three goals, and Meghan Siggins and Lizzy Clarke had two goals apiece.
Alex "Squeakss" Fellows and Cassidy Stebbins each scored a goal for the hosts. It was Stebbins’ first goal on the varsity team, at Natowich Field.
Rollins won 10 draw possessions, and broke the 100-point mark in her lacrosse career with Saturday’s victory.
The 2-2 Colonels will host Rutland on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
