Bellows Falls

Barbecue:
The "Bringing Hope Home Barbecue" will be held at Parks Place Community Center on 44 School St. on Saturday, from 1 to 3 p.m. This family-friendly barbecue is a celebration of National Recovery Month and some very exciting news. Recovery Coaches from Turning Point of Springfield will now be available in Bellows Falls. The barbecue is potluck style and hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided. Please bring a dish to share. Come share your story, connect, and celebrate stories of recovery. This event is co-hosted by Turning Point Recovery Center of Springfield and Greater Falls Connections.

West Brattleboro

Community Outreach Meal: Free meal offered at West Brattleboro Baptist Church on Sunday, Sept. 24, noon to 1:45 p.m. Menu includes chicken parmesan, tossed salad, Italian bread, applesauce, dessert, and choice of beverage. All are welcome. The meal is free of charge.

Putney

Community Lunch:
The next Putney Cares Community Lunch will be happening on Tuesday, Sept. 26, from noon to 1 p.m. at 4 Kimball Hill. The menu includes roast pork, roasted tofu, roasted carrots and potatoes, home made applesauce, chocolate cake, and tea and coffee. The suggested donation is $3.50. Call 802-387-5593 or email putneycares@svcable.net to reserve a seat no later than Monday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. Volunteers are also needed to help provide rides for those unable to drive themselves and with the clean up. This event is co-sponsored by Senior Solutions.

Senior Lunch

Dummerston:
The Dummerston Senior Lunch, sponsored by Senior Solutions, is Wednesday, Sept. 27, beginning at noon at the Grange Hall in Dummerston Center. The menu includes chicken pot pie, mashed potato and gravy, cole slaw with marinated dressing and pineapple upside down cake for dessert. Books from the Lydia Taft Pratt Library will be available for borrowing until the next meal. Take-outs are available by calling the Grange on Wednesday morning at 802-254-1138. No reservations are necessary. Suggested donation is $3 for ages 60 and older and $4 for younger folks.

Williamsville

Senior Lunch:
On Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Williamsville Town Hall in the downstairs dining room, there will be lunch served for seniors in Williamsville and surrounding communities. The menu includes pulled pork, garlic rosemary roast potatoes, summer squash, salad, rolls and a surprise dessert. The meal is prepared at the Williamsville Town Hall kitchen by Jon Julian, owner/chef of Top of the Hill Grill, hosted by Nancy Rysz and Natalie Donovan and sponsored by Senior Solutions. The suggested donation for this meal is $3.50 for age 60 and over and $4 for under 60. Call Nancy Rysz at 802-348-7729 for information, reservations and any takeout orders.

Church Supper

Bellows Falls:
The United Church of Bellows Falls, 8 School St., will host a supper on Sept. 30, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The menu includes ham, baked beans, cole slaw, assorted breads, apple crisp with ice cream, and beverages. Cost: $12 adults, $6 ages 6-12, 5 and under free. Take out available. For advanced reservations, call Barbara Brackett at 603-756-4500. The hall is accessible to all; enter from the back of the building.

Senior Lunch

Guilford:
The Guilford Senior Lunch, sponsored by Senior Solutions, will take place on Friday, Oct. 6, at the Guilford Community Church. The menu includes bacon cheese potatoes, squash casserole and sliced ham, with pecan pound cake for dessert. $3.50 for seniors is asked. Harvest Breakfast

Hinsdale, N.H.:
The Hinsdale Lions Club will be holding its seventh annual Harvest Breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Millstream Center on Main Street.

Serving time will be from 7:30 to 11 a.m. and cost is $7 for advanced tickets $8 at the door, under 10 free. Menu include eggs, sausage, pancakes juice, toast and coffee. Profits benefit the Hinsdale Lions Charities. Tickets may be purchased from any Hinsdale Lions Club member, or at the Millstream Center or contact hinsdalenhlions@gmail.com.
