Conn. driver arrested on I-91 in Vernon

VERNON (AP) - A Connecticut driver has been arrested on a drug charge in Vermont after a routine traffic stop on Interstate 91.

Police said a search of the car stopped in Vernon on Thursday night turned up a variety of prescription drugs that weren't prescribed to the driver, who then gave police a false name. Police also found some marijuana.

In addition to the drug charges, police arrested 33-year-old Jesse Berthe of Monroe, Conn., on a charge of providing false information to a police officer.
