BRATTLEBORO >> The Connecticut River Watershed Council and its partners are in the process of hand-pulling the invasive water chestnut from the Connecticut River and its tributaries and needs volunteers.

June 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Aug. 7 and 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.— Brickyard Ponds at the corner of RooteRoad and North Road in Westfield, Mass. Ages 12 and older. Call 413-548-8002, ext. 8115, or email Cynthia_Boettner@fws.gov.
