Cota voted Reformer Athlete of the Week

BRATTLEBORO — Bellows Falls varsity football player Logan Cota received 135 votes to earn Brattleboro Reformer Athlete of the Week honors for Oct. 1-7.

The quarterback threw for two touchdowns and ran for a couple more in a 54-0 decision over Mount Abe. He joins BF's Abbe Cravinho and Sophia Hyslop, Hinsdale's Delaney Wilcox and Brattleboro's Brenden Gilbeau as fall 2017 winners.

Cota's prize is two free games of bowling at Brattleboro Bowl, which has a total of 20 lanes and opens at 1 p.m. every day of the week.

Tatyana Bowman

Twin Valley's starting stopper had a hat trick after being moved up front for the second half of a 3-1 girls varsity soccer victory over Bellows Falls. It was the senior's first time ever playing the forward position.

Patrick Meyer

The Leland & Gray captain tallied twice during his varsity boys soccer team's 3-0 decision over Fair Haven. He drove the first one past goalie Liam Laramie and later tapped home a rebound for his second goal.

Alice Salter-Roy

The Bellows Falls varsity field hockey player defended well and was also in on two goals as her team routed Rutland 8-0 for the program's 35th consecutive win. She made several crisp passes from her midfield position, setting up burials for Molly Kelly and Dani Marchica.

Tyler Millerick

The sophomore played well on both sides of the ball as the Brattleboro varsity football team beat rival MAU 28-14 in the annual Elwell Trophy game. He threw for 126 yards and two scores on offense to go along with a tackle for loss, interception, and some blanket coverage on defense.
