'Crossing Delancey' presented at BUHS

BRATTLEBORO -- The BUHS Players present "Crossing Delancey," a romantic comedy by Susan Sandler, on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., at the Brattleboro Union High School auditorium. All tickets are $5.

Isabel (Julia Waldron) is a modern young woman who lives alone and works in a book shop.

When she is not pining after a handsome author (Elijah Taylor), she is visiting her grandmother (Claire Thomas) in Manhattan's Lower East Side. This delightfully nosy old lady and her friend the matchmaker (Kyra Johnston) have found a "good catch" for Isabel in Sam (Ian Epstein), the handsome pickle vendor.

The end of the play is really a beginning, ripe with possibilities for Isabel and Sam. The result is a fun glimpse of the modern world colliding with the old ways.
