Damez to host roller derby bout July 22

BRATTLEBORO — The Elm City Derby Damez women's roller derby team is coming off of a comfortable victory over Borderline Disorders of Newport on June 3.

Members of the ECDD team from Keene, N.H. are Wench Press, The Laurax, Daisy Duke Nukem, Demonic Delight, Spark An Burn, GanGreene, Smackajawea, TenderizeHer, DeathAnn Devastation (Jam Coach), and Trauma Queen (EMT).

"Our next home game is on July 22 against The United Front from Pioneer Valley Roller Derby, located in the Northampton, Mass. area," said Damez skater Aja Anderson, AKA Smackajawea. "We played them back in April for our first game and lost so we are looking for a rematch. They are a really tough team and are an all-gender team."

The remaining schedule for the Derby Damez is shown below. The three home bouts will be held at Living Memorial Park in Brattleboro, with the Nelson Withington arena doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the action starting at 6 p.m. Admission is by donation.

June 17 — at New Hampshire Roller Derby

July 8 — at Baystate Roller Derby

July 22 — host Pioneer Valley Roller Derby

Sept. 9 — host Twin State Derby

Sept. 30 — host Worcester Roller Derby
