Darcy Frey to speak at BFUHS on Monday


WESTMINSTER -- Students at Bellows Falls Union High School will welcome Darcy Frey, author of "The Last Shot: City Streets, Basketball Dreams" on Monday, Sept. 23.

The book was distributed to every student and faculty member for their summer reading assignment.

The author will talk to the students during the day, then an evening talk will be held at 7 p.m. at BFUHS. This event is free and open to the public.

Frey will speak about his experience of writing about high school basketball, struggles and realities of life in the inner city, and the big business that is collegiate athletics.
