Dinner and a movie with the Gleanery and Next Stage collaboration

Next Stage Arts Project and The Gleanery continue a special combination dinner and a movie on the fourth Thursday of the month. At 5:30 p.m., the chefs at the Gleanery will serve a special menu, then at 7 p.m. a film screening at Next Stage. Next up on Thursday, May 26: "Iron Jawed Angels" (2004), with guest host Elayne Clift. Directed by Katia von Garnier, starring Hilary Swank, Margo Martindale and Anjelica Huston. In this Golden Globe winning film, Alice Paul and the women of the 1917 Women's Suffrage movement fight for future generations right to vote and run for office. Sacrificing their health, marriages and the limited amount of freedom they had, women were imprisoned and force fed after picketing and hunger-striking against war-time president, Woodrow Wilson; but survived to see the results of their efforts.

For the dinner and movie $23, reservations at 802-387-3052. For viewing the film only a $5 to $10 at the door. For information: 802-387-0102.
