GREENFIELD, Mass. -- Don White, a unique performer -- equal parts comedian, author and songwriter -- will present his own brand of thoughtful humor and song in a concert to benefit Temple Israel programs on Saturday at 7 p.m., at Temple Israel, 27 Pierce St.

It has been said, "If you laugh and cry within the same 10 minutes, you either need a vacation or you are sitting in the audience at a Don White show." This working class family man from Lynn, Mass., has emerged as a thoughtful performer whose relevance to our lives is evidenced by the powerful reaction he evokes at every concert.

Since 1999, White has successfully partnered with dozens of organizations to raise much-needed funds and awareness by presenting benefit concerts.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance at The World Eye Bookshop, or at the door, night of the concert. Doors Open at 6:30 p.m., with entrance on Myrtle Street. Refreshments will be for sale.
