KILLINGTON — The sixth annual Downhill for Diabetes Ski and Snowboard Event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 20, at Pico Mountain Resort.

Participants will raise money to ski or snowboard, similar to a donation walk, just Vermont style! The purpose of this event is to raise money to continue funding research and ultimately come up with a cure for diabetes. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

You can sign in from 8-11 a.m. at the mountain on Feb. 20. The trails will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and you can ski for as long as you would like.

Lynn Pratt, of Pawlet, and her husband run this non-profit charity organization that has already raised $85,000. Their 10-year-old daughter Ashley is a Type 1 Diabetic.
