DURHAM, ENGLAND >> Rachel Hesse, a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School, has completed her doctorate in the field of classical zooarchaeology in June 2016. Classical archaeology is the archaeological investigation of the great Mediterranean civilizations of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. Hesse earned her B.S. at McGill University in Montreal and her Masters and PhD at Merton College, Oxford University, in England. She currently resides and writes in Durham.
