Evening of Irish/Celtic song and story will be held Saturday at Guilford Church

GUILFORD -- The ninth annual Evening of Irish/Celtic Music will take place at the Guilford Community Church on Saturday at 7 p.m. It will include storytelling, music, sing-along tunes, dancing and voices in honor of St. Patrick and Celts everywhere in the world. The master of ceremony will be tenor Jim Anderson. Acoustic instruments played will include piano, fiddle, guitar, banjo, squeezebox and bass.

The St. Patrick’s Irish Singers will start the program with "Come In," and the favorite "Danny Boy" will be sung later. Other performers who will be singing, dancing and playing instruments are Tony Barrand, Bill McKim, Michael Mario, Greg Sweeney, Peter Gould, Aiden Perra, Leslie Cotter and Jason Guerino.

A suggested donation of $5 is requested. All proceeds benefit the Guilford Historical Society. For information, call 802-254-2196.
