Express Fluency and Latchis Arts host foreign language films
On Sunday, Jan. 31, Express Fluency and Latchis Arts will host the third in a series of foreign language films at the Latchis Theatre at 4 p.m. This week's film, "Volver," is a 2006 Spanish drama written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar and starring Penelope Cruz about a mother who, after her death, returns to her hometown in rural Spain to fix situations she couldn't resolve during her life.
The film is by donation to benefit MANOS (Maternal and Neonatal Outreach Services) and Latchis Arts.
Express Fluency is offering a Spanish class surrounding the film recommended for advanced-beginner and intermediate students. The class meets from 2 to 3:30 p.m. and again from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to engage students with the film. The fee for the class is $35 and registration in advanced is required at www.ExpressFluency.com.
