Fall in New England: Yankee Mag offers trip ideas
Planning a visit to New England this fall? Yankee Magazine's September-October issue can help you plan your trip.
The magazine, on sale the last week of August, offers ideas for scenic drives, fall festivals and other autumn pursuits, including how to grow a pumpkin 10 times your weight.

The magazine also looks at five pumpkin festivals. East Hampton, Connecticut, becomes Pumpkintown USA daily Sept. 21-Oct. 31. Vermont's Pumpkin Chuckin' Festival at Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa takes place Sept. 28. Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, Rhode Island, features 5,000 illuminated pumpkins nightly, Oct. 2- Nov. 2. The Damariscotta Pumpkinfest, including pumpkinboat regatta, is held Oct. 10-13 in Maine. And the Keene, New Hampshire, Pumpkin Festival is scheduled for Oct. 18.
