Firefighter injured in Wilmington
WILMINGTON >> One firefighter was injured, treated and released after responding to a fire at Cold Brook Crossing Tuesday morning.
The Wilmington Fire Department responded to a fully involved structure fire at approximately 7:15 a.m. Tuesday.
"The first arriving unit arrived within 7 minutes of being notified and confirmed a fully involved single-family home under construction and requested a second alarm," said Wilmington Fire Chief Ken March. "The fire was under control at about 8:20 a.m. with extensive overhaul remaining to completely extinguish the fire."
March said all units cleared the scene at noon and no civilians were injured. The fire did not appear to be suspicious but an investigation remains open.
Fire departments from East Dover, West Dover, Whitingham and Readsboro responded to the scene. Marlboro and Halifax departments covered the Wilmington station.
