First Baptist Church wraps up another season with Overflow Shelter

BRATTLEBORO -- The First Baptist Church of Brattleboro at 190 Main St. in the center of town will wind down another season of hosting the Overflow Shelter for the homeless. This Sunday will mark the final weekend for the period which ran for six months during this especially cold winter. The shelter more than doubled the number of participants.

Pastor Susanna Andrews will preach from the 20th Chapter of John on Sunday, April 27, at 10 a.m. Following the triumphant message on Easter, this week’s sermon will speak of Jesus as He meets and teaches His disciples as He confronts them following His resurrection. The sermon is entitled "Believe!!!"

A song especially appropriate for this day, "The Stranger of Galilee," will be sung by Jan Stinchfield.
