Fulton-Black, Bigelow in Babe Ruth battle

BRATTLEBORO -- The Eagles edged DMI, 1-0, in a classic pitchers duel during a recent Babe Ruth baseball game at Fort Dummer.

Ian Fulton-Black struck out a dozen and pitched a two-hit shutout to get the win. Leif Bigelow (13 K’s, 2 hits) was the tough-luck loser.

The Eagles scored the game’s lone run in the second, when Matt Dulmaine led off with an infield hit, stole second and third, and scored on an errant throw. Defensive gems by Joe Rafus and Emmanuel Keppel preserved the shutout.
