Fund set up to benefit Putney fire victims
PUTNEY — An account has been set up at the Savings Bank of Walpole to benefit the family of Shane Goldsmith for losses incurred due to a house fire.
On the morning of Thursday, Jan. 28, a fire destroyed the Goldsmith's home, leaving two adults, two children and two dogs without a place to live. Two cats died in the fire.
Donations can be dropped off or sent to savings bank of Walpole in Walpole on Route 12 in Walpole, N.H. or mailed to PO Box 517 Walpole, N.H. 03608; Attention to Chester W. Goldsmith ITF Shane P. Goldsmith Benefit Fund.
The fire was investigated by members of the Putney and Brattleboro Fire Departments, and was determined to be electrical in nature.
