Fundraising event for Grafton Historical Society


The Grafton Historical Society will hold its annual fundraising event, a bake sale and silent auction, on Saturday, Sept. 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of the Museum on Main Street in Grafton. Myriad delicious home-baked foods will be for sale. Early birds get the best selection. Coffee and doughnuts will be available for morning shoppers. Lunch will be offered beginning about 11 a.m. for hot dogs and sodas.

Pots of mums will be available in various fall colors and the silent auction offerings are extensive. A getaway vacation in Santa Barbara , Calif. is a featured item as well as antiques from local residents and the Antiques and Widget shop. Among the popular offerings again this year will be a pizza dinner by the Bank family, Bill Brown's famous apple pies, a cord of green wood from David Rodgers, and Plummer's maple syrup and much more. The silent auction will close at 3 p.m.
