Future nurses collecting items for homeless

Posted

BRATTLEBORO >> Members of the Brattleboro campus of Vermont State College's Associate Degree of Nursing Honor Society, Alpha Delta Nu, have placed receptacles to collect new personal care, feminine hygiene products and socks to be donated to Groundworks Collaborative Housing and Homeless Shelter. There are approximately 170 homeless individuals — 49 of those children — in Windham County and the soon-to-be RNs would like to help.

Donations of new: toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, shampoo, soap, body wash, lotion, deodorant, sanitary pads, tampons and socks are being requested. The receptacles ware located in the lobby of the CCV/VTC campus, in the corner of the Harmony Lot, weekdays only from now through March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to -4 p.m.
