Gardening event to benefit Parks Place

WALPOLE, N.H. -- Save the date for an inspiring Garden Talk by Julie Moir Messervy, award-winning residential and institutional landscape designer, on April 28 from 3 to 5 p.m. ( auction preview from 2:30 to 3 p.m.) at Alyson’s Orchard. The topic of discussion will be "Your Garden Style: Making a Landscape that Fits You and Your Property." Admission is by donation.

The event is sponsored by Chroma Technologies, Cota & Cota, The Current, Durand Toyota Ford, Harlow Farm, Elizabeth McCormack, MJS Landscape, People’s United Bank, The Richards Group, Silver Forest, Sovernet Communications, Vermed Inc. and Whitney Blake Company. There will be an array of refreshments, a cash bar and a silent auction featuring some local art and other unique items.

All proceeds will directly benefit Parks Place Community Resource Center whose mission is to connect low- to moderate-income individuals and families with the programs, resources and information critical to strengthening lives. Parks Place officially opened in 1995 and became an independent nonprofit organization in 1998. Over 35 regular programs are housed at Parks Place that help individuals to avert homelessness, gain their high school equivalency degree or adult diploma, obtain mental health services, improve parenting skills, secure employment and promote the general well-being of families throughout the Greater Falls Region and surrounding communities.
