Goddard scored 114 points for Badgers

JOHNSON -- Ashley Goddard, who is a 2013 Leland & Gray graduate, started all 26 games for the Johnson State College women's basketball team during her freshman season.

The 6-0 power forward from Jamaica, Vt., scored 114 points, grabbed 123 rebounds and dished out 14 assists. She also had 18 steals, rejected nine shots, went 6-of-39 from downtown and shot 75.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The Badgers finished up with a 7-19 record. They went 2-0 against Green Mountain, Maine-Farmington and Lyndon State, and also defeated Thomas.

In her team's last victory of the season, which was a 66-65 decision over Maine-Farmington, Goddard chipped in with 10 points, eight boards and a couple of steals.

During her senior season at Leland & Gray, Goddard's teammates were: Jordan Gouger, Chelby Nystrom, Adrienne Derry, Abby Winrich, Alex Morrow, Natalia Goelho, Elizabeth Gallup, Haley Buffum and Casey Williams. That Rebels team was coached by Gregg Morrow.
