Gov. Shumlin away on vacation for two weeks
MONTPELIER -- Gov. Peter Shumlin will be away for the next two weeks in Nova Scotia. The governor is leaving to spend time with his family at his second home in Cape Breton, according to his press secretary, Sue Allen.
He'll stay at his cabin, also known as "The Yellow House."
The Cape Breton property is a customary vacation spot for Shumlin - he's spent time there during each of the past three years.
The governor will be in regular contact with staff, Allen said in an email.
