Governor sells home for $675K months before leaving office


EAST MONTPELIER, VT. >> Gov. Peter Shumlin has sold his East Montpelier home months before leaving office.

The Barre-Montpelier Times Argus reports that Shumlin's home sold on Aug. 5 for $675,000.

Shumlin built the home on 27.6 acres after he became governor. He plans to return to Windham County in southern Vermont when his term is over in January.
