Grafton board to host hydrology forum


GRAFTON — The Select Board will host a hydrology forum on Oct. 10 featuring: David Deen, Chairman, House Committee on Fish, Wildlife, and Water; Geoff Goll, Vice President, Princeton Hydrology; John Bennett, Senior Planner, Windham Regional Planning Commission; Billy Coster, Director of Planning, Agency of Natural Resources; and an invited Hydrologist from Iberdrola Renewables

The invited experts will talk about the impact of the proposed industrial wind project on the way water moves. Topics will include: a brief overview of the Saxons River watershed; a discussion of the current situation at Lowell Mountain; a discussion of the relevance of the Lowell Mountain situation to issues related to the Grafton/Windham proposed industrial wind project; and a discussion of NOAA/National Weather Service's report of the Grafton 1996 flood and possible relevance to the proposed wind project.

The forum is from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Grafton White Church on Main Street.
