Grammar School has new Head of School

Putney >> The Board of Trustees at The Grammar School has announced Nick Perry as the next Head of School.

"The Grammar School is thrilled that Nick Perry will be joining our community as new Head of School starting on July 1," the board said in a statement. "Nick has significant experience in senior administration yet remains, fundamentally, an educator. He is astute, extremely thoughtful, and a believer in shared dialogue as a cornerstone to institutional improvement and change. As TGS directly confronts the many challenges and opportunities affecting most smaller independent schools, we are confident that Nick will demonstrate the leadership we need to remain the important, unique, and adaptable school we love, and that which has such a resonant and operational mission.

Perry is currently the Assistant Head of School at North Country School where he oversees the academic, outdoor, residential life, and weekend programs. He will be moving here with his wife Liz and their two children Maya and Malcolm.

"It is with great excitement that I accept the position of Head of School at The Grammar School," Perry said in a statement. "The conscious partnerships and relationships at the core of the school resonate deeply with me. I am inspired by the mission and values of TGS and the breadth of programming for its students that is outward looking and examines our impact on the world. I believe in collaboration and that the will to succeed comes through collective efforts, which are the ingredients for health and success into the future.
