Guilford Fire Department uses raffle to raise funds for cardiac monitors

GUILFORD >> The Guilford Volunteer Fire Department recently purchased a cardiac monitor as part of a continued effort to improve community education, awareness and access in the event of a cardiac emergency.

The department's goal is to provide free CPR education to every resident of Guilford, fund public access AEDs and maintain a recently purchased cardiac monitor for our department. In order to fulfill this goal, the department has started a raffle to help fund this project. 100 tickets are being sold for $100 each. On the second Tuesday of each month one lucky ticket will be drawn for the prize of $400. Those who purchase a ticket will be entered into the drawing each month for the year 2016. Each participant will have the opportunity to win multiple times as the ticket will be entered into the drawing each month regardless of winning any of the previous months.

The first drawing will be held on Jan. 12 and all of the tickets must be sold prior to that date. If you would like to purchase tickets you can contact any member of the department, call 802-254-4413 or stop by the fire station at 108 Guilford Center Road on a Tuesday night between 6 and 9 p.m.. Donations for this project will be graciously accepted as well.
