HALIFAX CENTER -- The Halifax Union Society completes its 2014 season on Sunday, Aug. 31, with non-denominational worship commencing at 6 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Marcia Dorey will conduct this week’s service and Merrillyn Courser will play the antique Carpenter reed organ and lead the singing of hymns.

The Society’s annual business meeting and election of officers begins at 4 p.m. A potluck picnic will follow the meeting. This is the last week to bring food donations to support the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry.

All activities take place at the church near the intersection of Jacksonville Stage, Old County, and Stowe Mountain Roads in Halifax Center. All are welcome.
