Hayford, 2 Wildcats on Twin State team
CASTLETON -- The 40th annual Lions Twin State Soccer Matches, featuring graduating high school players from Vermont and New Hampshire, will take place on Saturday, July 19, at Castleton State College. The women's match will begin at 4 p.m. and the men's match will start 30 minutes after the conclusion (approximately 6:30 p.m.).
Colin Lozito, Sam Molner and coach Buddy Hayford will all represent undefeated and Division 4 champion Twin Valley High School as part of the Vermont men's team. Hayford will be one of three assistants, joining head coach Richard "Doc" Seubert of Middlebury.
New Hampshire has a 16-12-8 record in the men's series, having outscored Vermont by a combined 67-56. The Granite Staters have a 16-8-4 mark in the women's series, with a 60-38 goals advantage.
The money raised from this event will go to NH Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation and the Austine Green Mountain Lions Hearing Impaired Camp.
