High School A Cappella Warm-up aids In-Sight
BRATTLEBORO -- The High School A Cappella Warm-up concert will be held on Friday at 8 p.m., at the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center.
The lineup for Feb. 1 includes Renegade, Shoulder Narrows, Spiralia and X-pressivo, which are all student-run and directed independent groups from the Brattleboro area. In addition to the student groups, two top-notch high school ensembles will return to round out the show -- Patty Meyer’s BUHS Madrigals and Ron Kelley’s Leland & Gray Madrigals.
Proceeds from the high school show benefit the In-Sight Photography Project, which teaches photography to youth ages 11-18. "This concert is about high school kids raising money to help high school kids, in addition to helping the Drop-In Center with canned goods and much-needed funds this time of year," said Producer Dede Cummings.
Ticket on Feb. 1 are $10, $5 for students, available at the door. Space is limited, so come at 7:30 p.m. For information, call In-Sight Photography Project at 802-251-9960.
