HINSDALE, N.H. -- The Hinsdale girls soccer team made good on a penalty kick but couldn’t generate any other offense in a 4-1 loss to Monadnock on Wednesday.

"I thought the effort was unbelievable. I’m really proud of the way we played against a good Monadnock team," said Pacers coach Drew Arsenault, who mentioned that goalie Kenzie Bonnette made 20 saves.

Hinsdale (0-9) will host Newmarket on Friday.

MANCHESTER -- The Bulldogs got revenge for a 1-0 loss to the Colonels earlier in the season.

"They were a much different team than last time," said BUHS coach Edwin de Brujin. "We had some nice looks at goal, including some shots that hit the post. Still, we gave them a tough game."

It was 3-0 before the break. Halie Lange put away the Colonels’ only goal in the second half.

Lange and attackers Molly Gurney, Biak Chia Tial, and Linnea Jahn kept good pressure on the Bulldogs, said their coach.

The 4-5 Colonels will host Rutland today.
