Hinsdale girls improve to 10-0

MILTON, N.H. -- Skylar Bonnette poured in 23 points and backcourt mate Allison Scott added 17 as the Hinsdale girls basketball team remained unbeaten with a 51-31 rout of Nute on Friday night.

"We took charge early," said Pacers coach Terry Bonnette, whose team went ahead 19-5 in the opening quarter and had a 34-14 advantage at the break.

WIth the victory, the Pacers improved to 10-0.

"The girls are playing hard. I think the defensive intensity is what has made them 10-0. They are playing as a team and creating a lot of turnovers," noted the Hinsdale coach.

The Pacers will host Wilton on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

MILTON, N.H. -- The Pacers took a 30-15 lead to the intermission and never looked back. Matt Boggio (26 points), Andrew O’Keefe (17) and Christian Lugtu (11) did the offensive damage for the 2-6 Pacers, who will next play at Mascenic.

College Basketball

BURLINGTON -- Candon Rusin, who attended Twin Valley High School, scored a game-high 25 points to help Vermont to an 81-73 victory over Stony Brook on Friday. Rusin made four of his nine shots from downtown for the 12-6 Catamounts.
