Hinsdale girls lose on road


NEWPORT, N.H. >> The Hinsdale varsity girls basketball team was nipped by Newport, 36-34, in overtime, on Tuesday evening.

"It was a close game all the way, but they hurt us on the boards and that was the difference," stated Pacers coach Terry Bonnette.

Skyler LeClair poured in 18 points to pace Hinsdale. Jaqueline Atkins followed with a dime's worth.

The 5-2 Pacers will host Derryfield tonight at 5:30.

Men's Rec Basketball

BRATTLEBORO >> In Wednesday's action at the Gibson-Aiken Center, Brattleboro Maulers downed Chroma 83-79 and Green Mountain Creamery routed Al's Towing 90-69.

Joel Porter pumped in 41 points and Kyle Whitworth added 14 to lead the Maulers. Lynden Bunker and Liam Perra paced Chroma with 22 and 21 points respectively.

Dan Blake powered the creamery to victory with 30 points. Robert Rea scored a team-high 20 for Al's Towing.
