Hinsdale girls maul Mascenic


HINSDALE, N.H. >> The Hinsdale varsity girls basketball team took a 23-point lead to the break on Tuesday night and went on to pound Mascenic, 54-18.

"We played with great energy — probably the most we have all year," said Pacers coach Terry Bonnette.

Skyler LeClair scored a team-high 21 points for the Pacers, who were up 19-5 after the first quarter and 28-5 at halftime. Jen Matuszewski followed with seven points, Gabby LeClair added six, and Jacqueline Atkins hauled down 10 rebounds.

The 8-3 Pacers will host Nute at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, which is Senior Night for Hinsdale.


BENNINGTON >> Bellows Falls only had four wrestlers competing against MAU and BBA on Tuesday, due to illness and injuries, and they went a combined 4-4 in the contested matches.

Jake Lober went 2-0 for the Terriers, pinning his BBA opponent in just 12 seconds and then defeating his MAU foe 5-1. Lucas Saunders and Charles Dolloph each went 1-1 on the day.

Bellows Falls will compete in the Mount Mansfield Tournament on Feb. 7.
