Hinsdale's alumni games are tonight

HINSDALE, N.H. >> It should be a perfect night of championship memories in Hinsdale this evening.

In the history of Hinsdale High school, only two basketball teams have ever finished with a perfect record in completing their state championship seasons — the 2014 girls and the 1974 boys. Those two undefeated teams will be part of the main attraction tonight at the annual alumni games at "the Stable."

At 5:30 p.m., the current Hinsdale varsity girls squad that was recently eliminated from tournament play will take on an alumni team led by several key members of the 2014 state champions. The dynamic duo of Allison Scott and Skylar Bonnette will suit up for the alumni. Two years ago, both Scott and Bonnette became members of the exclusive 1,000 point scoring club at Hinsdale while leading the Lady Pacers to their first and only basketball title. That team finished with a perfect 22–0 record.

And at 7 p.m., the Hinsdale varsity boys team will take the floor to face, among others the 1974 undefeated state champion Pacers, who finished with the most wins in a season in school history at 23. The Fab 5 of Larry Scott, Mike Fecto, Mike Carbino, Kevin Lavalla, and Mark Bradbury, all of whom played in last year's game, will be on hand for an encore performance. Combined, Scott, Fecto, Carbino, Lavalla, and Bradbury played on a total of 22 state championship-winning teams in Hinsdale during the early and mid-1970's. Larry Scott, who happens to be Allison's father, is also a member of the 1,000 point scoring club.

The current Pacers love to put the pedal to the metal and feature big man Kyle Rideout, the versatile Ryan Boggio, and 1,000-point scorer Matt Boggio. The Hinsdale girls play a stingy 2-3 defense and are led by all-everything guard Skyler LeClair.

Last year's alumni games were nearly standing-room only. It wouldn't be surprising if this year's crowd is even larger! Whether it is a fire truck-led parade through town immediately following a state title victory, or a return of former champions like this evening promises to be, Hinsdale has always welcomed home their champions with open arms.
